We are responsible for the processing of personal data on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

2. Server log files

When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically records technical data that your browser transmits. This includes the IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, browser type and version, and the operating system.

Purpose: operation, stability and security of the website.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in providing a technically functional and secure website.
Retention: log files are stored for a maximum of 30 days and are then deleted or anonymised.

3. Contact form and e-mail enquiries

If you use the enquiry form on this website, we process the data you enter: your name, your e-mail address, the subject and, if provided, your message. The same applies if you contact us by e-mail or telephone.

Purpose: to process and answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to take steps prior to entering into a contract.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for enquiries relating to a contract; Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR where you have given your consent by ticking the consent box; Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for our legitimate interest in answering general enquiries.
Retention: we keep enquiries for as long as necessary to answer them and to fulfil statutory retention obligations under Austrian commercial and tax law (generally seven years for business correspondence). Data that is not subject to a retention obligation is deleted once the enquiry has been dealt with.

Providing this data is voluntary. Without a name and an e-mail address, however, we cannot reply to you.

4. Cookies

This website does not set any cookies of its own and does not use analytics, tracking, profiling or advertising services. We do not create user profiles and we do not measure your visit.

5. Recipients and processors

Your data is stored on the servers of our hosting provider, which acts as a processor on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. E-mail correspondence is processed on the mail servers operated for our domain.

We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it on to third parties for advertising purposes. Data is only disclosed where we are legally obliged to do so, or where it is necessary to answer your enquiry or to perform a contract.

6. Content loaded from third parties

Some elements of this website are currently loaded from external servers. When such an element is loaded, your IP address and technical browser data are transmitted to the operator of that server, because this is technically necessary in order to deliver the content to your browser.

  • Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. A transfer to Google LLC in the United States cannot be ruled out. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — legitimate interest in a consistent presentation of the website. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Theme assets — a small number of images are still loaded from industrie.rstheme.com, the server of the supplier of the website template. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We are in the process of moving these files to our own server.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to request access to your personal data (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future; the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal is not affected.

To exercise these rights, write to office@astern-energy.com.

8. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority:
